Our law firm focuses on matters related to Adoption and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) law in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.  We have decades of experience in representing clients growing their families through adoption, surrogacy and with the use of donors.  We handle private, parental placement, independent, step-parent, second parent, LGBT, third party, relative and adult adoptions.  We also work with clients interested in gestational surrogacy options or the use of egg or sperm donors.  The firm represents all types of  families including single parents, married or unmarried heterosexual couples, gay and lesbian parents and grandparents.  

The firm represents birth parents, intended parents, surrogates,donors (known and anonymous), adoptive parents and minor children through the legal process, including handling the Interstate Compact on the Placement on Children (ICPC) process for domestic adoptions, the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), Birth Orders (pre-birth orders and post-birth orders) and the re-adoption and/or finalization process for international adoptees.

Jennifer speaks at Conferences on Adoption, LGBT Family Building and Assisted Reproduction Technology both within the State of Maryland and across the country.  She was recently awarded the 2013 Legal Excellence Award by the Maryland State Bar Foundation for presentations across Maryland and in 2014 was invited to be a member of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation Leaders.  She has presented at ABA Conferences, AAAA and AAARTA Conferences, NBI, Resolve, Inc., GW School of Law, UB School of Law, University of Maryland School of Law, American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Association of Tissue Banks, Villanova Law School, Maryand Famiy Law University, Maryland Judicial Institute, Famililies for Private Adoption (FPA) and many local organizations as well.
